Malvajío Syrah · Bodega Malvajío
The wine that gave the winery its name — and its soul. Malvajío was the first wine Antonio Mérida released back in 2011, the one everything else grew around. A serious single-varietal Syrah that shows what the Mijas hills can really do.
100% Syrah, aged 16 months in French oak and refined a further 12 months in bottle. Deep and powerful, with ripe dark fruit, spice, and the toasty, structured character that only patience and good wood can give. A wine with real ageing potential — one to open now with food, or lay down a little longer.
Serve at 16–17°C, ideally decanted. Made for grilled and roast red meat, game, and mature cheeses.
