Américo Joven · Bodegas Díez Gómez
Toro, unfiltered — the wine that first crossed the Atlantic. Legend has it Toro was the only wine that survived the long voyage in Columbus's ships without spoiling. This is your way in: young Tinta de Toro, all fruit and energy, no oak to get in the way.
100% Tinta de Toro (the local clone of Tempranillo) from family vineyards planted ungrafted, on their own roots, some over 100 years old, under the influence of the river Duero. Deep, dark and vivid in the glass, with ripe black fruit, a juicy body and the bold, sun-drenched character that made Toro famous — but in its most approachable, drink-now form.
Serve at 15–16°C. Made for grilled meat, chorizo, stews and anything off the barbecue.
