A Costiña · Alan de Val
A single grape, a single plot, and one of Galicia's rarest reds. A Costiña is Alan de Val at its most ambitious: 100% Brancellao — the near-lost native grape this family did more than almost anyone to bring back from the edge of extinction.
Brancellao is delicate, perfumed and pale-coated by nature — closer in spirit to a great Atlantic red than to anything heavy or dark. Expect fragrant red fruit, floral and herbal notes, silky texture and a fine, mineral, distinctly cool-climate finish. Low production, serious wine, and a genuine collector's bottle for anyone who wants to taste where Galician viticulture is going.
Serve at 15–16°C. Beautiful with roast poultry, mushroom dishes, grilled fish and refined cooking. A wine to slow down for.
