Américo Roble Español · Bodegas Díez Gómez
Toro with a Spanish accent — literally. Where most oak-aged wines lean on French or American barrels, the Américo range is aged in Spanish oak (Quercus pyrenaica, the local rebollo). It's rare, it's regional, and it gives the wine a character you won't find elsewhere.
100% Tinta de Toro from ungrafted, own-rooted family vines — many over a century old. Time in Spanish oak wraps the region's powerful dark fruit in gentle spice and toast, softening Toro's muscle without taming its soul. Full-bodied, structured, warm, but balanced.
Serve at 16–17°C. Built for roast lamb, grilled red meat, game and mature cheeses.
