Navajas Gran Reserva · Bodegas Navajas
The pinnacle — only made in exceptional years, and worth the wait. A Gran Reserva is Rioja's highest classification: years in oak, more years in bottle, and released only when it's truly ready. This is Navajas at its most serious.
85% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano from the oldest, lowest-yielding vines. Extended ageing in oak followed by long bottle-rest gives a wine of real complexity: brick-red edges, a deep bouquet of dried fruit, leather, tobacco, spice and fine wood, all seamlessly integrated. Silky, elegant and remarkably long — a wine that tells the story of time.
Serve at 17–18°C, decanted. The bottle for the celebration — roast lamb, game, aged cheese, and a table you're in no hurry to leave.
